Double K's Take: Top 5 moments from sports for 2015...

5) Deflategate, Patriots win SB (Jan-Feb): This was a huge story to start the offseason last year. Tom Brady and the Patriots were again accused of cheating to win games. This time by the Indianapolis Colts, the Colts accused the Pats of deflating the footballs prior to the game to give their running backs better grip and to help the receivers catch the ball. This drama continued after the Patriots won the Super Bowl and even went as far as the League attempting to punish Brady with almost no evidence that he did anything wrong. At the end of the day Brady walked and the whole thign just made the NFL look stupid. It was a fun ride while it lasted...

4) The decimation of the SF 49ers (Jan-Aug): This whole debacle started during the middle of last years 8-8 season, when the management decided that Jim Harbaugh was not in the future they saw for the 49ers. This mistake lead to the retirement of at least 3 players on the 49ers roster. DE Justin Smith specifically has said that is Harbaugh had stayed that he would have stayed. You combine that with the surprise retirement of chris Borland and you have a team in disaster. In the end it left the team and its new head coach with a bunch of talented pieces but no true leaders accept for Navorro Bowman and one guy can't lead offense and defense. Watching them rebuild is going to be a sight to see...

3) The rebirth of the GSW (June): The Warriors were the ultimate feel good story for the year of 2015. The Warriors have always been the joke of a team in the NBA, nobody expected what was to come in this year. They opened the season 25-2 and continued to rule both the west and the east as they made their way to a 67 win season. They entered the playoffs as the #1 seed and ran thru most of their competition on their way to facing King James and the Cavaliers. The match-up was one for the ages as James and company put the Warriors down 2-1 hole. The Warriors were able to win 3 straight games and take the series in 6 games and win the NBA Championship for the 1st time since 1975. This truly was the year of the Warrior….

2) Mayweather vs Pacquiao the fight that wasn't (May): This fight was supposed to be epic, this fight was supposed to be the fight of the century. Of all those things it was supposed to be the only thing that the fight actually was, was boring… This was for a plethora of reasons one being Floyd Mayweathers boxing style in general is not popular among today's boxing fans. The fact that he was  able to execute this style to perfection against the one guy that everyone thought would be able to stop it. That just infuriated the entire boxing community. As for me the fight went just as i expected and the man that i predicted the victor got the victory...

1) First CFB Playoff a complete success?? (Jan): This thing was set up to be criticized by all from the moment of its inception. I personally thought that it played out perfectly with the underdog and least expected Ohio State Buckeyes winning the first ever National College Playoff. it made for must watch tv and it had me glued to the tv to find out which teams will compete in the tournament for the title this year??...
