Double K's Take: 2015 NBA Draft - Sacramento Kings...

Sacramento Kings (29-53, 4th in Pacific Division, 13th in Western Conference, No Playoffs)

Last season the Kings were not a team to be envied, while their in state rivals the Warriors were on their way to history and a NBA Championship. The Kings were looking like a dysfunctional family, with Cousins having such a vocal outcry against the coaching staff. So the management went out and fired the HC Mike Malone and hired veteran coach George Karl to see if he could get the job done and they ended the season with turmoil between coach and star and a interesting look headed into the draft as a lot of experts had the big man being traded. Not only did they not trade Cousins they surprised the NBA world by drafting this man…

R1(6) F/C Willie Cauley-Stein (Kentucky Wildcats, 7’1” 240lbs): It seemed like a blessing in disguise that the Kings had this big man fall into their lap. With all of his skill and ability not to mention potential he was set to go as high as 3 in most mock drafts. But in the real world he fell and the Kings were able to get find themselves a big man to pair with Cousins and make for a twin towers effect in the Cali state capitol. Will Stein be the savior the Kings need to be relevant only time will tell. But for now things are looking up in Sacramento…
